For this first image you have to cross your eyes for the image to become 3-D.make sure your eyes are horizontal, other wise this won't work. A good trick, if you are having trouble focusing, is to tough your finger to you screen right in the middle where the two images meet, then slowly draw your finger straight towards you nose. behind you finger as you do this you should see the two images becoming one, once this happens just move your finger and your eyes should automatically focus.
These were just two separate photos taken approximately 2 inches apart. I happened to have a pair of red and blue 3-D glasses, so i combined these two images and with the wonder of photoshop i created an Anaglyph 3d image. if any of you have the red and blue glasses your should try it out
the main drawback with this version is the loss of colors. Next i tried an Anaglyph photo of a larger object, so I made a picture of my ceiling.
Then i simply did some more 3-D photos of varying style.

This image is just the same image twice with the 3-D effect. With glasses it still looks somewhat 3-D, but in a very flat sense.

You might imagine and you would be correct in assuming that I always have a pair of anaglyph glasses at the ready ^_^
And that's why I was perfectly prepared for the insane MJackson tribute on the Grammys in 3D. (The secret is out--MJackson *is* Avatar)
But srsly, yes, anaglyph produces monochrome and as such works better with b&w images. NASA knows this well and the ROVER was equipped with stereo cameras to send back Mars data for use with anaglyph. See Mars in 3D here:
